My artwork starts with a loose drawing in my sketchbook. I will then blow up the drawing on a copy machine and refine the sketch more. I use all my media the same way, layering them from light to dark or working out of a middle value. If it is a painting done from a life figure, I will then be drawing with a tighter line style.

With the skills that I have learned over the course of many years, I am able to paint in various mediums. I enjoy working in oil, acrylic, pastel, watercolor and charcoal drawings. The past few years I have been working in a series by painting the same subject several times in different mediums. I would like to pursue painting like the great masters from John Singer Sargent, Mary Cassatt or Monet, that is where my attention is focused on. Painting the human figure and portraying a landscape from one of my photographs has kept my interest since 1994, when I first started to paint.

I have had some of my artwork hanging in galleries during the course of my art career. Such as at the Northville Art House, Livonia Public Library, Blick Art Store, Princeton Medical Center and the Wayne State galleries. I have accomplished over 400 works of art and feel as if I am learning with each piece.
